The Trial of Robin Hood
By Thomas Poole
The story unfolds at the celebration of May Day outside of Sherwood Forrest in the town of Nottingham. The town is busy preparing for the festivities when the ruthless Sheriff of Nottingham enters with Robin Hood, now captured. The Sheriff wants to make an example of Robin Hood and hang him without a trial, but is surprised by the arrival of King Richard's Judge who insists that the townsfolk have a voice. He asks them to reenact Robin's adventures and the real hero of this classic tale is revealed.
