The Addams Family
This musical comedy brings the beloved and kooky Addams family to life! In the upside-down world of the Addams Family, to be sad is to be happy, to feel pain is to feel joy, and death and suffering are the stuff of their dreams.  The Addamses have lived by their unique values for hundreds of years but Wednesday Addams, who is now eighteen years old, has fallen in love with Lucas Beineke, a sweet smart boy from a normal, respectable Ohio family - the most un-Addams sounding person one could be!  And to make matters worse, she has invited the Beinekes to their home for dinner.  In one fateful, hilarious night, secrets are disclosed, relationships are tested, and the Addams family must face up to the one horrible thing they've managed to avoid for generations:  change!

We offer two productions each school year.  This year, we will have two musicals - one in the fall and one in the spring.  Students can participate as members of the cast or technical crew. By working together with adult mentors to create a quality production, students develop confidence and respect for others as well as skills in collaboration, teamwork and stagecraft.

The Bulldog Theater program is sponsored by Parent's Club (OISPC) and administered by the OUSD.

Program/Event Manager

Jeanette Lipp is a former OIS parent and provides administrative support as Program/Event Manager.

Director/Producer/Production Crew

Bay Area Children's Theatre has been contracted to provide our program with all staff and services.

Parents are a very important part of our team, and we would not have this program without their volunteer hours. Parent volunteers serve on the following committees: backstage, publicity and publications, tickets, house operations, concessions and cast and crew celebration.

The program is a collaborative effort involving the Producer, Director, Event Manager, Technical Manager, cast and crew members and their parents. The Producer, Event Manager and Technical Manager are responsible for organizing and overseeing the many aspects of our program. The Director is the artistic manager of the production and is responsible for auditioning, casting, and preparing the actors for the show.

Please see the FAQs page for detailed information on the current production.
