Bay Area Children's Theatre Staff

DIRECTOR: Caroline Schneider
Caroline is an arts educator and performer in the Bay Area and has been teaching and directing for ten years with companies like Bay Area Children's Theatre, Howick Little Theatre (Auckland, New Zealand), East Bay Children's Theatre, and Med-O-Lark: the Arts Camp of New England (Washington, Maine).  She has a BA in Musical Theater Performance from West Chester University of Pennsylvania.


MUSIC DIRECTOR (part-time): Meghan Hornbacker
Meghan is a musical theatre teaching artist currently based in the Bay Area.  She has previously worked with Tri-Valley Repertory Theatre as the director and choreographer of their Children's Summer Programs, and taught Tri-Valley Young Performers Academy's improv comedy and introductory theatre courses.  She has a BA in Theatre Arts and Political Science from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.


CHOREOGRAPHER: Chelsey Ristaino
Chelsey recently moved to the Bay Area from New York City where she lived for five years. Bay Area Theater Credits: Mamma Mia at Center Rep, Rock of Ages at Pacific Coast Repertory Theatre and Grease at Berkeley Playhouse. An East Coast native, Chelsey has performed regionally throughout New York, Pennsylvania, Connecticut and Massachusetts. Favorite credits include: Natalie in Next to Normal at The Resident Theater Company, The Mistress in Evita, Pea in Jerusalem, Amber in Hairspray, and Franca in The Light in the Piazza at Cape Repertory Theater, and Donna in The Taffetas at Seven Angels Theater. Short Film credits: Must Hurry!, Charley V (Nominated Best Comedic Actress), and The Tragedy of Sal. Chelsey graduated from Montclair State University with a BFA in Musical Theatre.


PRODUCER:  Anne Norland
Anne Norland is an energetic performing artist, teacher, and director. After completing her conservatory training at the Tisch School of Arts New Studio on Broadway for Musical Theatre at New York University, she earned her teaching credential in K-12 Performing Arts Education at American University in Washington, DC. She taught drama, speech & debate, dance, and language arts in public and private schools in Washington, DC and Northern Virginia, before moving to the Bay Area in 2016. Anne served as Theatre Director at a San Francisco middle school, then high school, where she taught and directed new works, large-scale musicals, and Shakespeare productions. While musical theatre genres are her first love, Anne is also passionate about producing new works, especially those conceived by up-and-coming, underrepresented playwrights, and bringing older works to life for the 21st-century audience. Anne has taught at the San Francisco, Oakland, and Pleasanton venues for Bay Area Children’s Theatre, directing and music directing productions for young artists from preschool to high school.
